My Name: A Poem by Faith Gold

worlds tallest man.png

(1) F is for forgiveness, for the things we may not see…

(2) A is for acknowledging things we did not believe.

(3) I is for integrity, to walk proud everyday…

(4) T is for time…an asset we don’t want to give away.

(5) H is for hope, because without hope, we’d lose Faith…

(6) And the strength in our hearts keeps us fighting every day.

(7) G is for growth because we’re never too old to grow…

(8) O is for observing other things we did not know.

(9) L is for “love, life, living” happy & free…

(10) D is for devotion…now lets read line (7) + plus (3) …

Lines 7-10 describe your heart – much stronger than you know…

Lines 1-5 above it gives us faith & a little hope.

I wrote this poem with the hope to bring you sun on a cloudy day…

You’re never alone, you’re always loved…more & more every day.

Author Bio: I dedicate my writing to my father, Dr. Barry S. Gold, M.D. My father taught me to stand tall with integrity; and to always trust my heart. I found my voice through writing and have found the greatest joy in using my voice and words for a positive, greater impact. Writing gave me the power to be myself and convey my heart and mind candidly. I’m thankful to my mother, Linell Cahn-Gold for supporting my dreams to write. To my Law Professors’, Professor Kalinowski, Professor Myers, thank you for believing in me before I believed in myself. To my Taxation Professor, who will never forget I was her "most interesting student ever!"

In loving memory of Suzanne Irene Beery, & with love, to Marjorie Gell & Mary Anne Cameron.
